Microcalcite is applied as a component of a plastering of electrodes to electric welding and coverings of casting molds. Producers of electrodes impose requirements to microcalcite on percentage of oxides of iron, aluminum and sulfur.

In high-strength concrete microcalcite is applied as the painting filler.

In production of a tile microcalcite is used as nonshrinking filler. By production of concrete mosaic plates it can be used both microcalcite and a marble crumb, for creation of the mosaic.

In production of roofing materials it is applied as a mineral filler and dust-like topping.

In branch of oil and gas production it is applied as a weighting compound to production of boring solutions and other technological liquids.
