Polyamide

Heat-resistant polymers which part high-molecular synthetic connections of amide group (CO-NH or CO-NH2) are received the name polyamides. Amide communication as a part of macromolecules of these polymers repeats from two to ten times.

All polyamides are rigid materials. They have the increased durability caused by crystallization. Their density varies ranging from 1,01 to 1,235 g/cm ³. A surface of polyamide materials — smooth, steady against fading and change of a form.

They are excellently painted by any dyes, are steady against influence of many chemical reagents.

Polyamide in the light and textile industry for production:

• synthetic (kapron, nylon) and mixed fabrics;
• carpets and oriental carpets;
• fur fabric and different types of a yarn;
• socks and stockings.

Polyamide in rubber production:

• for creation of kordovy threads and fabrics;
• ropes and filters;
• conveyor tapes and fishing nets.

Polyamide in construction:

• for production of various fittings and pipes;
• as antiseptic coverings for concrete, ceramic and wooden surfaces;
• for protection of metal wares against a rust.

Polyamide in mechanical engineering, an avia and shipbuilding for production of details of depreciation mechanisms, rollers and plugs, various devices etc.

They are a part of glues and varnishes.

They are used in the food industry for production of the separate details of the equipment adjoining to products.

In the medical industry from them create artificial veins and arteries, do different types of artificial limbs. Polyamide threads surgeons impose seams during operation.
